Radio stations have strong visual identities — bold colors, distinctive logos, a vibe that matches the music. But translating that identity into a website usually means hiring a designer or spending hours tweaking CSS. The Style Lab changes that.

What Is the Style Lab

The Style Lab is a visual customization tool built into your RadioSiteMaker dashboard. It gives you a library of professionally designed style templates that you can apply to your site with one click. Each template is a complete visual package: color palette, font pairing, decorative elements, and card styles that all work together.

No code editing. No drag-and-drop page builders. Pick a style, preview it, apply it. Your entire site updates instantly.

Curated Style Templates

Every template in the Style Lab has been designed specifically for radio station websites. We tested them across all content types — schedules, DJ profiles, blog posts, event listings, charts — to make sure they look right everywhere, not just on the homepage.

Templates span a range of aesthetics:

• Dark themes for stations that broadcast at night or lean into a moody, underground feel.
• Light themes for community stations, talk radio, or family-friendly formats.
• Bold and colorful for pop, dance, or urban stations that want high energy.
• Minimal and clean for stations that prefer a stripped-back, modern look.

Each template defines five coordinated colors (primary, secondary, accent, background, text), a heading and body font pair, card styles, and decorative elements. Everything is designed to be harmonious out of the box.

Customize Everything

Templates are a starting point. After applying one, you can override any element:

• Colors — adjust primary, secondary, accent, background, and text colors individually using the color picker. Every change previews in real time.
• Fonts — choose from curated font pairs that combine a heading typeface with a complementary body typeface. We selected pairs that are legible on screen and load fast.
• Decorations — toggle decorative elements like borders, shadows, gradients, and rounded corners to dial the visual complexity up or down.
• Card styles — control how content cards (blog posts, events, DJ profiles) appear across your site.

Your customizations are saved independently from the base template, so you can experiment freely. Want to go back to the original template? One click resets everything.

Brand Consistency

The Style Lab enforces consistency automatically. When you set your colors, they propagate to every element on your site — buttons, links, headers, the player bar, schedule grid, form fields, and footer. You do not need to style each section separately.

This is powered by CSS custom properties that cascade through the entire site. Change your primary color once in the Style Lab, and every button, link hover state, and accent element updates to match.

Mobile-Responsive

Every style template is fully responsive. We test across phone, tablet, and desktop breakpoints to ensure your site looks polished on every screen size. The schedule grid stacks properly on mobile. DJ profile cards reflow into a single column. The player bar adapts to narrow viewports.

You do not need to create a separate mobile version or worry about responsive breakpoints. It is handled for you.

How to Use It

1. Open your RadioSiteMaker dashboard.
2. Go to Style Lab in the sidebar.
3. Browse the template library and preview any style.
4. Click Apply to set it as your active style.
5. Optionally, fine-tune colors, fonts, and decorations.
6. Your changes go live immediately.

The Style Lab is available to all stations on the Pro plan. If your station's visual identity evolves — new logo, rebrand, seasonal refresh — updating your site's look takes seconds, not days.
