Radio.co Website: Keep Radio.co and Add a Full Station Website
If Radio.co already runs your stream and automation, there is no reason to move it to get a better website. RadioSiteMaker plays your Radio.co stream as it is and builds the station website around it: a player that keeps playing across pages, a schedule, show and DJ pages, podcasts and events.
Disclosure: RadioSiteMaker and RadioHost Studio are our own products. Radio.co prices were checked on Radio.co's own pricing and help pages on 5 November 2026; we say below where Radio.co's builder is the better fit.
Which URL to paste
Radio.co stream URLs look like this:
https://s2.radio.co/s1234abcd/listen
The host is a *.radio.co server (the number varies), and the first part of the path is your station id. Paste the full HTTPS stream URL in Settings → Stream on your RadioSiteMaker dashboard and leave Stream Type on Auto-detect. You do not need a Now Playing URL.
Test it first:
How now-playing works with Radio.co
When the stream URL is on a radio.co host, RadioSiteMaker takes the station id from the path and reads Radio.co's public status endpoint, which Radio.co documents as https://public.radio.co/stations/{station_id}/status[1]. It needs no login and no API key.
From that response the site reads the current track. Radio.co gives the title as "Artist - Title", so the site splits it into artist and title. It uses Radio.co's large cover art when Radio.co has one. When Radio.co sends its station logo in place of a cover, the site drops it and looks the track up in Apple's iTunes Search instead, so the player shows the album cover rather than your logo on every song (turn on Hide Song Art to use a vinyl placeholder instead).
The show name in the player comes from your RadioSiteMaker schedule, and every track change goes into the site's Recently Played list. The site does not show a listener count for Radio.co streams.
This is not an account integration. The site does not see your Radio.co dashboard, playlists or statistics, and it cannot change anything there.
What stays in Radio.co, and what moves to the website
- Radio.co: everything you use it for today: the stream, and whatever automation, playlists and statistics you run there.
- RadioSiteMaker: the public website. Home page and persistent player, schedule grid, show pages, DJ profiles, podcasts (including RSS import), events, blog, charts, dedications, polls, chat, voice messages, contact form, donation links to PayPal, Stripe, Ko-fi, Buy Me a Coffee, Patreon or GoFundMe, and a custom domain with SSL. Ten themes, seventeen site languages.
The website schedule is entered on the website; it does not sync from Radio.co.
Radio.co's own website builder: when it is enough
Radio.co sells a website builder as an add-on: $12[2] a month on top of your plan. Its help centre describes it as Powered by Weebly; two builder plans: Standard and Plus[3]. Paid monthly, that is $144 a year (our calculation, twelve months at the listed add-on price). A RadioSiteMaker website is $99 a year + tax, billed separately from Radio.co.
Radio.co's builder is the better fit if:
- you want everything on one Radio.co bill and one login;
- a drag-and-drop editor is how you like to build pages;
- your site is mostly a page with a player and some information about the station.
A RadioSiteMaker site is the better fit if:
- you want a site built around radio from the start: schedule grid, show pages, DJ profiles, podcasts, events, a player that keeps playing across pages, Recently Played;
- you want the site to stay put if you change stream host later. You paste a new stream URL and the website, domain and content stay the same;
- you want the lower yearly price.
We have not tested the Weebly builder's radio features ourselves, so check Radio.co's current documentation for what it includes before you decide.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to cancel Radio.co to use RadioSiteMaker?
No. RadioSiteMaker is a website; it plays your existing Radio.co stream. Radio.co keeps doing the streaming and automation, and you pay for each service separately.
Does RadioSiteMaker need my Radio.co login or API key?
No. The site reads your public stream URL and Radio.co's public station status endpoint, which needs no credentials. It cannot see or change anything in your Radio.co account.
Why does the player show album covers instead of my Radio.co station logo?
When Radio.co has no cover for a track it sends the station logo, and the site replaces that with a cover found through Apple's iTunes Search. If you would rather not show covers, turn on Hide Song Art in Settings.
If I move away from Radio.co later, do I lose the website?
No. The website, domain and content are independent of your stream host. You paste the new host's HTTPS stream URL in Settings and the player switches to it; the site picks the matching now-playing source from the new URL.
Is the Radio.co website builder cheaper?
Not per year at the prices we checked: the add-on is listed at $12 a month, which is $144 over twelve months by our calculation, against $99 a year plus tax for RadioSiteMaker. The builder can still be the simpler choice if you want a single Radio.co bill.
