Now-playing widget & HTML5 radio player
Put a live player with the current track, artist and artwork on any website, whatever your stream host. It is the same player RadioSiteMaker station sites use, packaged as one line of embed code. Free.
Live preview. Press play.
This player shows one stream. A RadioSiteMaker site keeps it playing across every page, next to your schedule, DJ profiles, podcasts and events.
Build the full station websiteHow the widget works
The code is an <iframe> that loads the RadioSiteMaker player for your stream. Audio goes straight from your stream host to the listener; RadioSiteMaker only fetches the track title, artist and artwork, using the same lookup our station sites use (your host's status API where one exists, otherwise the title inside the stream). Paste the code where you want the player: a WordPress HTML block, Squarespace or Wix code block, or any page you control.
What your stream needs
- An HTTPS stream URL. Browsers block
http://audio on secure pages. - A browser-playable format: MP3, AAC, Ogg or HLS.
- Track titles, if you want them shown: sent by your encoder or published by your host.
Limits, plainly
- The widget plays one stream. It does not keep playing when a visitor moves to another page of your site, because each page load restarts the iframe. A RadioSiteMaker site solves that with a player that persists across pages.
- Browsers do not autoplay audio. The listener presses play.
- The player carries a small "Player by RadioSiteMaker" credit.
- Fair use: widgets are cached and rate-limited, and abusive use can be switched off.
Common questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no trial, no expiry. We built it because it is the most useful piece of a station website to have on its own.
Does it work with Radio.co, RadioKing, Live365 and AzuraCast?
Yes, as long as you use the stream's HTTPS listen URL. Track data is read from each platform's public now-playing source.
Build the website around the stream you already have
Persistent player, schedule, DJ pages, podcasts and events on your own domain. Keep your current stream host. $99 a year + tax.
