Done-for-you service
Get your radio station on Alexa
We build a custom Alexa skill that plays your live stream, test it, and take it through Amazon's certification from your own Amazon developer account, so the skill is yours.
What you get
- A custom skill that starts your live stream when a listener asks for it by its invocation name.
- Pause, resume and stop handling, which Amazon tests during certification (Audible at volume 3 / consistent loudness; must handle AMAZON.PauseIntent and AMAZON.ResumeIntentsource).
- Skill icons, name and description prepared from your branding.
- Build, testing and submission for certification, and the fixes Amazon asks for.
What Amazon requires
- An HTTPS stream. Required: Yessource. Supported formats: AAC/MP4, MP3, PLS, M3U/M3U8, HLSsource, at 16-384source. Check your stream.
- A free Amazon developer account in your name. Publishing a skill costs $0source. You give us access; the skill stays yours.
- An invocation name Amazon accepts. Its rules: No one-word names (unless proven brand); no launch phrases/connecting words; no 'Alexa','Amazon','Echo','skill','app'; lower-case letters, spaces, possessive apostrophes; numbers spelled out; can't change after publicationsource. Your station name may need adjusting to fit them.
- The rights to stream your audio in the countries where the skill is offered. Amazon asks about this during certification.
Alexa skills are offered per language and marketplace: Arabic (SA), Dutch (NL), English (AU, CA, IN, UK, US), French (CA, FR), German (DE), Hindi (IN), Italian (IT), Japanese (JP), Portuguese (BR), Spanish (ES, MX, US)source. Tell us where your listeners are.
What we can't promise
- Certification is Amazon's decision, on Amazon's timetable.
- Amazon may reject an invocation name, and a name that sounds like other skills or common words can be hard for Alexa to match. We'll suggest options that fit the rules, but no phrase is guaranteed to work on every device and in every market.
- If your stream changes address or goes down, the skill stops playing until the stream works again.
How it works
- Send the request below with your stream URL.
- You create a free Amazon developer account and add us to it.
- We agree the invocation name with you, build and test the skill, and submit it.
- Amazon reviews it. Once certified, listeners can enable it and ask for your station.
Cost
$99 + tax, once. Amazon charges nothing to publish. For comparison, Radio.co's Alexa add-on is $10source a month (checked on Radio.co's page on 5 November 2026). RadioSiteMaker is our product.
