Getting Started with RadioSiteMaker
Welcome to RadioSiteMaker! This guide gives you the big picture so you know where everything lives. If you've never built a website before, don't worry — the setup wizard does the heavy lifting and you can change anything later.
What RadioSiteMaker does
RadioSiteMaker turns your radio stream into a complete, professional website: a live player, your schedule, your DJs, podcasts, a blog, events, listener interaction and more — all managed from one dashboard, with hosting and a secure padlock included. You get a free web address (yourstation.radiositemaker.com) right away, and you can connect your own custom domain whenever you're ready.
Step 1 — Create your account and run the setup wizard
When you sign up, a short setup wizard walks you through the essentials:
- Station name and tagline
- Site language
- A design style, colors and fonts
- Your audio stream URL (so the live player works)
- Your logo
- Which features you want switched on (podcasts, events, charts, and so on)
- Your social links and contact details
You can skip steps and come back to them — nothing here is permanent. When you finish, you land in your dashboard.
Step 2 — Get to know your dashboard
The dashboard is your control center. The left sidebar is grouped into the things you manage:
- Design & pages — Hero Section, About Page, Settings (branding, colors, fonts, stream)
- Content — Shows, DJs / Hosts, Schedule, Podcasts, Blog, Breaking News, Events, Charts, Videos
- Audience — Dedications, Live Chat, Polls, Voice Messages, Messages (contact form), Applications, Subscribers
- Monetization — Donations, Merch, Sponsors, Ads
- Account — Analytics, Billing
Each section lets you add, edit, reorder and delete items. Changes appear on your public site right away.
Step 3 — Preview and go live
Your site is live the moment your account is created — at your free yourstation.radiositemaker.com address. Open it any time to see your changes. When you're happy, follow the Going live checklist and, optionally, connect your own custom domain.
A few things worth knowing
- Everything is editable later. Colors, fonts, content, features — change them whenever you like.
- Some features can be turned on or off. Switch off anything you don't need so it disappears from your site's menu.
- Your plan may affect some features. See Plans, trial & Pro for details.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any technical or coding skills?
No. The setup wizard and dashboard are designed for non-technical broadcasters. You point and click; we handle hosting, security and the technical plumbing.
Is my site live immediately?
Yes. As soon as your account exists you have a working site at yourstation.radiositemaker.com. You can keep editing it after it's live.
Can I change my choices after the wizard?
Absolutely. Every setting from the wizard can be changed later in your dashboard under Settings and the relevant content sections.
Where do I start once I'm in the dashboard?
Add your stream first so the live player works (see Connecting your stream), then add your DJs, shows and schedule. After that, switch on any extra features you want.
