Managing Shows

Shows are the programs that make up your station — the named slots your listeners tune in for. This guide covers creating and managing them.

Creating a show

Go to Shows in your dashboard and add a new show with:

  • A title and an automatic web-friendly link (slug).
  • A description (formatted text).
  • Artwork / an image.
  • One or more genres from the searchable genre library.
  • The DJs / hosts who present it.

You can mark a show active or inactive and set its sort order to control how shows are listed.

Linking shows, DJs and the schedule

Shows tie your station together:

  • Assign one or more DJs to each show so their profiles and the show cross-reference each other.
  • Place a show into your weekly schedule so listeners know when it airs (see Managing your schedule).

Hiding track metadata

For talk shows or special broadcasts, you can hide track metadata so the player shows your show name instead of a song title.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a show have more than one DJ?

Yes. You can assign multiple DJs to a single show, and a DJ can host multiple shows.

How do I control the order shows appear in?

Each show has a sort-order value. Lower numbers appear first.

How do I put a show on my schedule?

Create the show first, then add it to a time slot in the Schedule section.

Can I temporarily hide a show?

Yes. Mark it inactive and it won't appear on your public site until you reactivate it.
