Customizing Section Labels & Navigation

Your site's menu is built automatically from the features you have switched on. You can rename sections and control which ones appear, so the navigation speaks your station's language.

Renaming sections

Several sections let you set a custom label — for example you might rename "Blog" to "News" or "Updates", or "Hosts" to "Presenters". When you set a custom label, it's used both in your menu and on the page itself.

Sections you can relabel include charts, events, blog, podcasts, hosts (DJs), dedications, videos and contact.

Controlling what's in the menu

The menu only shows features that are switched on. To remove something from the menu, switch that feature off in Settings. To add it back, switch it on again. This keeps your navigation focused on what you actually use.

Tips

  • Keep labels short so the menu fits neatly on mobile.
  • Use words your audience uses — if your listeners say "shows" rather than "programmes", use that.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I remove an item from my menu?

Switch the corresponding feature off in Settings. It disappears from the menu immediately.

Can I rename "Blog" to something else?

Yes. Many sections, including the blog, support a custom label that replaces the default name everywhere it appears.

Will renaming a section change its web address?

Renaming changes the visible label. Your existing links keep working.
