Going Live: A Pre-Launch Checklist
Ready to share your station? Run through this checklist to make sure everything looks and works the way you want before you tell your listeners.
1. Your stream plays
Open your site and press play. Confirm the audio starts and the now-playing track info appears. If not, see Connecting your stream.
2. Your branding looks right
- Your logo appears in the header.
- Your colors and fonts match your station's identity.
- Your hero section has an inviting headline and background.

3. Your core content is in place
- At least a few DJs / hosts with photos and bios.
- Your shows and a weekly schedule so visitors know what's on.
- An About page that tells your story.
4. Only the features you want are switched on
In Settings, turn off any sections you're not using yet (for example Merch or Events) so your menu stays clean. You can switch them back on any time.
5. Your contact and social links work
Check that your contact email, phone and social media links are correct — click each one.
6. Your site is findable (SEO)
- Add a clear station name, tagline and meta description in Settings.
- Make sure your logo/social image is set so links look good when shared.
7. (Optional) Connect your custom domain
If you own a domain like www.mystation.com, connect it for a more professional address. Follow Connect a custom domain.
8. Do a final mobile check
Open your site on your phone. Confirm the menu, player and pages all look good on a small screen.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to connect a custom domain before launching?
No. Your free yourstation.radiositemaker.com address works perfectly. A custom domain is optional and can be added at any time.
How do I hide a section I'm not ready to use?
Turn the feature off in Settings. It disappears from your site's menu immediately and its page returns a not-found until you switch it back on.
Will my changes be live instantly?
Yes. Edits in the dashboard appear on your public site right away. If something looks stale, clear the site cache from Settings.
