Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any technical skills to use RadioSiteMaker?

No. The setup wizard and dashboard are built for non-technical broadcasters. We handle hosting, security and the technical details for you.

Is my website live straight away?

Yes. As soon as you sign up you get a working site at yourstation.radiositemaker.com. You can keep editing it after it's live, and changes appear instantly.

How do I get my live player working?

Add your stream URL under Settings → Stream and press Test, then Save. We support Icecast, Shoutcast, AzuraCast, caster.fm and more. See Connecting your stream for details.

Can I use my own domain name?

Yes. If you own a domain like www.mystation.com, you can connect it in about 10 minutes by adding one DNS record. The secure https padlock is set up automatically. See "How to connect your own custom domain".

Why isn't the current song title showing in the player?

Either your stream doesn't broadcast track info, or it publishes it at a separate address that needs to be added in the now-playing field under Settings. Some live shows hide metadata on purpose.

How do I turn features on or off?

In Settings you can switch features (podcasts, events, charts, merch, and so on) on or off. Anything switched off disappears from your site's menu and can be switched back on at any time.

Do some features depend on my plan?

Yes — depending on your plan, certain features may be limited. See "Plans, trial & Pro" for what's included.

Can I sell merchandise or take donations?

Yes. You can add merch items with prices and links, and set up donation buttons (Stripe, PayPal, Ko-fi, and more). See the Monetization section of the Help Center.

How do my changes get published?

Automatically. Edits in your dashboard appear on your public site right away. If something looks out of date, clear the site cache from Settings.

Is my site good for SEO?

Yes. RadioSiteMaker pages include the meta tags, structured data and a sitemap that search engines look for. Fill in your station name, tagline and meta description in Settings to get the most out of it.

How do I get help if I'm stuck?

Search this Help Center, browse the relevant article, or reach out through the contact options on radiositemaker.com. For custom-domain issues in particular, the fastest fix is often a quick look at your DNS settings together.
